Greetings from the USA...

It's been almost 2 years, but I wanted to share a quick story with you, and thank you for one of the best nights of my life - a night that I'll always remember.

Back in 2009, I took a trip to Prague with 6 of my best friends.  Our goal was to see a city that we had heard tremendous things about before we departed for Oktoberfest in Munich to close it out.  We were staying at a hostel in downtown Prague, and met an Australian named Nick who was traveling alone for a few months seeing Europe.  Anyways, he asked us what we were up to one night and we said probably hitting up a bar or 2 or 3...in which he replied "ah mate, you gotta come on the pub crawl with me".  Hey - easy enough...I'll never say no to crawling around a city putting back beers and meeting new people.  So we went.  When we arrived at the first bar, we had the "power hour" which at the time I think was about 90 minutes for that night.  I remember Nick saying "90 minutes?  9 beers - no problem".  I thought it would be a smart idea to challenge our Australian drinking buddy and attempt to 1-up him..."10 in 90" (still a phrase we use to this day).  The only problem is, I wouldn't get there, for there was a once in a lifetime freight train on it's way to derail even my most ambitious moment.

About 15 minutes in, our group had made it to the back room - there were pitchers of beer on every table, shelf & bar top to be seen.  People walked around with trays of shots and there was a hookah sitting on the table being shared amongst foreigners from all across the world.  I was in heaven - I didn't think this night could get any better.  At the same time, two of my friends got held up in the front due to foot traffic and a pit stop, and just so happened to run into 2 lovely ladies speaking English, yet with an "American" accent.  They asked where they were from, chatted for a few, and decided to bring them out back to rendezvous with the group.  And that's when it happened.  I heard them approaching so I turned to look and instantaneously locked eyes with a beautiful girl whom I knew absolutely nothing about but knew immediately I wanted to know everything about and more.  We were introduced "guys this is Monica & Danielle - they're form New York".  We all said hello, grabbed a beer and started to get to know each other.  We spent the night dancing, drinking, singing, laughing...having a phenomenal fucking time.  It was by far the best night we had on our trip.  And as they say...the rest is history.

That date was September 29th of 2009.  Two years later, Monica & I are living together in Massachusetts...and happily engaged.  We often, quite often, share this story with our friends, family and whenever people ask us "how did you two meet?".  It's a story unlike many, and it's unbelievable that it took us traveling about 4000 miles to meet one another, especially given the fact that I had lived in Brooklyn, NY and worked in Manhattan at the exact same time that Monica was finishing up college...and only about 3 blocks apart.  Odds are we traveled the same subway at some point, walked down the same street, maybe even had a beer in the same bar.  But not obviously not the right bar.

The Clock Tower Bar Crawl, as crazy as it seems, allowed for this to happen.  First time in history?  I've included a picture from that night of Monica & I - feel free to use it.  I've also included an updated pic from us at a Sox game back here in Boston, just weeks before our engagement.

In conclusion, we've chosen our wedding date...and yup, you guessed it, September 29th, 2012.  Location?  The one and only Prague - the city that brought us together.  We wouldn't have it any other way.

So we'll be back next year for our wedding with about 50 or more of closet friends and family, we'll get married, we'll celebrate and I can guarantee you that we'll be pub crawling with you guys one more time, partying our asses off and reliving experiences that we'll never forget.  Just make sure to leave room for us.  And who knows?  Maybe one of my buddies will meet his future wife.  After all, it's happened before.

OMFG went for my 19th birthday and randomly stumbled in to this bar crawl FUCKING AMAZING NEVER BEEN THAT DRUNK IN MY LIFE and the yank bird that i got hold of just made the night lol bring on next year oktoberfest then back to prague for round 2 !!!!!!!! if you do not go on this then ur CRAZY !!!!

If you were on the 23/09 crawl and lost your camera, well it is not lost for everyone. I am sorry about that, I really cannot remember how I ended up with it. Too much fun I guess. Just post if you wanna get it back.

LIFE CHANGING..

For 450 Czech crowns we got 2 hours of free beer, 4 clubs with shots, a shirt , drink specials, 2 shots of absinthe and a night Ill never forget..or remember how I got to my hostel. All in all, a wise choice!

I had a really good time with u people. The other tourists, and the people working there, u were all great! Norwegian vikings rocks, and so do u. % nights in a row, not bad, huh?

What a great night i had yesterday.. I will this remember this trip forever.. Prague Rocks!

Had an awesome time ringing in the New Year on this crawl. Thanks for having such a great sense of humor when dealing with so many drunk ingrates (myself included). If I'm ever lucky enough to be back in Prague, I will meet you at the clock!

Best pub crawl - spent the next night at Molly Malone's, too. clickety clack, snake eyes, everybody wins.

This pub crawl was the best I have been on in Europe and I have been on a lot. It was great training for Oktoberfest and Issac is HILARIOUS! Keep up the great work guys, I'll be back for sure!

We went two nights on the crawl. The guides were wunderbar! Some of the beset tour guides ever! Eric, Craig and Emily! Helped us find hostel after party was over. PROST!

Always thought pub crawls were a rip. way to show me otherwise-- good times, good people, and great venues. goes to show, good things done right are always worth it.
